The Machinist is responsible for producing parts according to work orders and/or blueprints.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates various equipment, such as:
Vertical turret lathe
Radial arm drill
CNC machining center
Various measuring tools
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, and threading operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Reads blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions.
Moves product by operating an overhead crane, forklift, and pallet jack.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulation.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all other departments.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Work areas are exposed to all elements of weather, loud noise, and dusty conditions. Must be able to work safely with exposure to chemicals and machinery.
