If you collect or restore classic Ford tractors, you may be familiar with the corkscrew, or spin-out, wheel design. Models from the 1940s or 1950s, such as the 641 and 741, were equipped with adjustable rear rims that are significantly different than the adjustable rims of today. As a result, it can be difficult to find the correct replacement parts.


The wheels’ corkscrew design allowed farmers to modify the rear wheel track width by loosening clamps and sliding the wheel. It was an easy way to enhance the tractor’s versatility for various farming tasks.
