At the 2025 Farm Progress Show, Titan showcased the newly unveiled Demco Big Buddy grain cart — a one-of-a-kind concept equipped with custom ag wheels built by Wold. Designed as the perfect companion to Welker Farms’ completely refurbished Big Bud KTTA 700, Big Buddy shared the stage at Titan’s booth, with both machines outfitted with Goodyear LSW1400/30R46 Optitrac tires, the largest ag tires in the world.

Together, they made an unforgettable impression — standing side by side as a tribute to craftsmanship, engineering precision and the power of collaboration.

A Legendary Tractor Gets New Life

When Big Bud first roared to life in the 1970s, it set a record that still stands today. With its 16-cylinder Detroit Diesel engine producing more than 1,000 horsepower, Big Bud 747 became a global symbol of agricultural innovation.

Decades later, its revival — and return to Montana’s fields — was made possible with Titan’s LSW1400 tires and the custom wheel expertise of Wold. The world’s largest tractor deserved the world’s largest tires, and Wold helped make the fit flawless.

A Wheel of a Challenge

Can the world’s largest ag tires fit on a Big Bud tractor? That’s the question Welker Farms set out to answer — and Wold helped them pull it off.

Working with Titan and Welker, Wold fabricated the custom wheels for the Big Bud KTTA 700, led by Justin Kruger, who collaborated closely with the Welker team to dial in every measurement, bolt and lug pattern.

At the 20-minute mark, Wold got a shout-out worth watching: “They did the rims for the Big Bud 747. They are amazing. They can basically make any rim adapt to anything — it showed up and fit everything first try, right on the money.”

Big Buddy Meets Big Bud

In this fan-favorite video, Wold gets a well-deserved spotlight for supplying the custom wheels behind Titan’s “gigantic tractor shoes.” Around the 24-minute mark, there’s even a close-up featuring the Wold sticker on the wheel.

This project was truly a team effort. Titan supplied the components, while Wold’s Justin Kruger worked closely with the Welker Farms crew to nail down every measurement — right down to the hardware. Wold’s precision made sure the fit and performance were flawless, helping transform the Big Bud restoration from concept to reality.

The collaboration didn’t stop there. Wold also supplied the wheels for the specially built Demco Big Buddy grain cart featured toward the end of the video — another showcase of engineering excellence that tied the entire Big Bud display together. The finished cart was later sent to Titan to be wrapped and unveiled alongside Big Bud at the 2025 Farm Progress Show, where both machines stood as symbols of innovation, craftsmanship and teamwork.
